Georg Andreas Sorge, Ein Lämmlein geht
“Ein Lämmelin geht” is a Lutheran hymn for Passiontide, often sung on the melody of “An Wasserflüssen Babylon”. Sorge wrote a prelude that captures the mood of the text and the tide perfectly. The melody is played in long notes, accompanied by flowing triplets full of alterations, creating mellow dissonants. The first phrase of the choral melody is first played in the pedals and the accompanying voice before it enters in the solo voice.
The recording was done on the sample set of the Van Dam organ (1832) in Tholen by Voxus Organs for Hauptwerk.
