Sorge’s prelude to “Seelen Bräutigam” is the last complete prelude in manuscript Go S 597. The manuscripts contains 5 more chorale preludes but sadly they are incomplete. The prelude to “Seelen Bräutigam” is again testimony to Sorge’s ability to create a nice chorale prelude in trio texture. I can only hope another manuscript will come available with more of Sorge’s choral bound work. Until then this is the last addition to the collection available on my site.
The recording was done on the sample set of the Van Dam organ (1832) in Tholen by Voxus Organs for Hauptwerk.
