Georg Friedrich Kauffmann, Mit Ernst, ihr Menschenkinder

Kauffmann’s prelude to “Mit Ernst, ihr Menschenkinder” is more a 4 part setting of the chorale melody, usable for as accompaniment for the congregation singing it, than a prelude. A short piece in only twelve bars, that shows Kauffmann’s ability in four part writing.

The recording was done on the sample set of the Vermeulen organ of Sts. Simon and Jude Thaddeus Apostles Church in Raszczyce by Piotr Gabrowsky for Hauptwerk.
