Johann Heinrich Scheidemann (?), Præludium (WV 94)
[update, 14-04-2019] I just learned that this piece is tentatively ascribed to Johann Heinrich Scheidemann, so I changed score and post title accordingly.
For an introduction to the Lynar B3 manuscript, see here. The second complete anonymous piece in the Lynar B3 manuscript is a prelude in G. Short as it is, it has a clear structure. After a short introduction, a theme is presented in the soprano voice, that in contrapuntally develloped in the remainder of the piece. In the final bars it is even presented three time in dimunition. All in all, a quite well written work, that makes us wonder who the composer might have been.
The recording was done with the sample set of the Silbermann organ of the Stadtkirche Zöblitz by Prospectum.
