Christian Reichardt, Freu dich sehr, o meine Seele
Körner’s “Der angehende Organist” (Leipzig : Siegel , 1895) is a collection of short and easy compositions for organ, meant for use in service “für weniger geübte Organisten” (lesser trained organists). The collection contains a chorale prelude to the melody of “Freu dich sehr, o liebe Seele”, composed by Cghristian Reichardt. I only have 4 compositions by his hand on my site, so it is nice to come acroos anpther one. The composition features teh choral melody in both the left hand and the right hand. To give the piece a bit of bit, I play it using 16 feet reeds.
The recording was done with the Sweelinq software and the sampleset of the Wolfferts-Heijneman organ in the Maartenskerk, Zaltbommel (https://sweelinq.com/product/zaltbommel-nl-st-maartenskerk-wolfferts-heijneman-organ/).
