Dietrich Buxtehude, Puer natus in Bethlehem, BuxWV 217
BuxWV 217 is one of the shortest chorale preludes by Buxtehude. The character is solemn and dignified. Ideally suited I think to use a Trompet stop as cantus firmus. I wish I could play it the way Gerard van Reenen does.
The recording was done on the sample set of the Bader-organ in the Walburgiskerk in Zutphen by Sonus Paradisi for Hauptwerk.
