Dietrich Buxtehude, Vater unser im Himmelreich, BuxWV 219
This chorale prelude is one of Buxtehude’s most-played chorale-based organ works. It is in Buxtehude’s typical style in which the chorale melody appears elegantly ornamented in the soprano voice, accompanied by three other voices on a separate manual and the pedal. The material of the accompaniment is for a large part based on the chorale melody as well.
The recording was done with the sample set of the Silbermann organ of the Stadtkirche Zöblitz by Prospectum.
