Georg Andreas Sorge, Ist dieser nicht des Menschen Sohn?
Sorge’s prelude to “Ist dieser nicht der Menschen Sohn” feels a bit stiff and uninsprired. Sorge’s compositions are mostly elegantly flowing pieces, that are fun to play even though they are not not the greatest masterpieces. In this case however the pieces feels awkward to play. In the manuscript several bars of the alto voice in the introduction are missing. Almost as if this piece was sketched, but never really finished, because it did not work.
The recording was done on the sample set of the Van Dam organ (1832) in Tholen by Voxus Organs for Hauptwerk.
