Georg Friedrich Kauffmann, Schönster Immanuel
In this choral prelude Kauffmann again prescribes the use of the Quintadena 16′. Together with the Praestant 8′ it forms an interesting combination I would never have thought of myself. Perhaps Kauffmann meant the piece to be played an octave higher than notated. But I choose to play it as notated, with the registration as indicated.
The recording was done on the sample set of the Müller-organ in the Sint Bavokerk in Haarlem by Voxus Organs for Hauptwerk.
