Georg Friedrich Kauffmann, Gottes Sohn ist kommen
An interesting prelude by Kauffmann on this Christmas choral. All phrases of the melody are introduces and accompanied by themselves in diminution. It gives a surprising grandeur to the melody itself.
The recording was done on the new sample set of the Holzey organ of St. Peter and Paul in Weissenau by Prospectum.
