Gottfried August Homilius, Jesu meine Zuversicht (HoWV VIII:19)
Homilius’ prelude based on the meldoy of “Jesu meine Zuversicht” (HoWV VIII:19) is the next chorale prelude in my little Homilius-project. The left hand plays the choral melody and the right hand plays the accompaniment. The main motif of this accompaniment is based on the first phrase of the choral melody. With this material Homilius creates a very uplifting composition, that is a pleasure to play.
I was just recording this composition on the sampleset, made by Voxus, of the Müller organ in the Sint Bavokerk, Haarlem (http://www.voxusorgans.com/en/product/haarlem), when I received an e-mail from Sweelinq that they had just released their sample set of the same organ (https://www.sweelinq.com/organs/nl-haarlem-stbavokerk/). So I decided to make a little comparison out of it.
The first recording was done with the Hauptwerk software and the sampleset, made by Voxus, of the Müller organ in the Sint Bavokerk, Haarlem (http://www.voxusorgans.com/en/product/haarlem).
The second recording was done with the Sweelinq software and the sampleset of the same organ (https://www.sweelinq.com/organs/nl-haarlem-stbavokerk/).
