Wilhelm Karges, Præludium
This Præludium is the last composition from Am. B. 340. I started publishing the compositions from this manuscript almost 5 years ago and now finally, 5 years and 44 compositions later the job is finally done. The only thing left to do now is create a publication that contains all compositions from this manuscript in one or two volumes.
As the final piece of this series it is actually one of the most beautiful compositions in this manuscript. It is very reminiscent of the Prelude from this manuscript that Karges explicitly ascribes to himself. I would not be surprised if Karges would turn out to be the actual composer.
The recording was done with the Hauptwerk software and the sampleset, made by Sonus Paradisi, of the Klapmeyer organ in the St. Nikolai church in Altenbruch (https://www.sonusparadisi.cz/en/organs/germany/klapmeyer-organ-altenbruch.html).
