The first prelude is posted here. This second prelude has the chorale melody in the soprano voice. The prelude is constructed with beautiful elegant flowing four part writing. Each phrase of the chorale melody is foreshadowed in the accompanying voices. It&#8217;s not clear from the manuscript whether the piece is meant as manualiter of that it should be played with the pedals. In my transcription I follow the manuscript and notate it on two staffs. The recording is a manualiter performance. Yet it could equally well be played with the pedals and the chorale melody as solo voice.
