As the composition is left incomplete in the manuscript I transcribed it from, I completed the piece by composing 5 or 6 bars myself. The manuscript contains a number of choral preludes from Bach&#8217;s Orgelb\u00fcchlein and a few choral preludes by the hand of Kirnberger, that were clearly written in hommage to or inspired by Bach&#8217;s Orgelb\u00fcchlein. After completing the prelude to &#8220;Wo soll ich fliehen hin&#8221; I decided to do the same and I set myself the task of writing a choral prelude in &#8216;Orgelb\u00fcchlein-like&#8217; style.
