Walther writes &#8220;Hautbois&#8221; where the choral melody enters. Writing music for the combination of organ and oboe seems to be an invention of Kauffmann. Yet this piece does not appear in his Harmonische Seelenlust. Did he for some reason not include it? Is someone else the composer of this work? Or is the indication &#8220;hautbois&#8221; not meant as instrument indication but as stop indication? The choral melody could well be played with the pedals and a 4&#8242; stop. So I made two scores: one with oboe as solo instrument and one with the chorale melody as pedal part.
