Though only one of the others has an opus number, this prelude and fugue was published in 1862 the &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/imslp.org\/wiki\/Jubel-Album_f\u00fcr_die_Orgel_(Various)\">Jubel-Album f\u00fcr die Orgel&#8221;<\/a> (as was pointed out by Daniele Calorio in the comments below). <\/p>\n<p>Richter&#8217;s Prelude and Fuge in E major is a lyrical work. The prelude is build on a subtle play between two slightly differently registered manuals. The fugue theme gives rise to a piece with long flowing lines, that gradually builds up to a long held chord. After that the piece ends with just a few subdued bars. Interestingly, the Jubal Album does not indicate the manual changes in the Prelude that Bach\u2019s manuscript does.
