In other sources it is attributed to Johann Pachelbel. A reason often given for this confusion is that Pachelbel&#8217;s name was sometimes written as Bachelbel, and abbreviated as Bach. Since Neumeister&#8217;s manuscript is believed to be reliable as far as attributions are concerned (his transcriptions are not very reliable musically), I folow his attribution.
