In two other manuscript sources (both the Plauener Orgelbuch and the K\u00f6nigsberger manuscript) however the piece is ascribed to Johann Heinrich Buttstett. Neumeister&#8217;s error was probably caused by the fact that in most manuscripts of the time the composer was indicated with intials only, often written with ligatures.
