The first volume contains 33 easy pieces, that can be played without the use of pedals. The second half of this volume is a section called &#8220;Pi\u00e8ces Fun\u00e8bres&#8221;, pieces intended to be used during funeral services. Though this piece is called &#8220;Choral&#8221; it is not based on any choral melody I know. It&#8217;s probably more intended to create the mood of a choral, sung during a funeral service.
