The first volume contains 33 easy pieces, that can be played without the use of pedals. The second half of this volume is a section called &#8220;Pi\u00e8ces Fun\u00e8bres&#8221;, pieces intended to be used during funeral services. &#8220;Absoute&#8221; is a rite and prayer of the Catholic liturgy that ends the funeral ceremony at the church. It includes a song that implores the total deliverance of the deceased&#8217;s sins, then a sprinkling and a censing of the body.
