It is his opus 1, which he dedicated to his teacher Carl Ferdinand Becker. <\/p>\n<p>L\u00f6w mostly emplois forms and procedures from the Baroque era with a harmonic language that is sometimes slightly romantic. L\u00f6w&#8217;s choral prelude to &#8220;Erstanden ist der heilge Christ&#8221; obviously takes Bach&#8217;s Orgelb\u00fcchlein as an example. In is again a good example of L\u00f6w&#8217;s usage of form and idiom of the Baroque. In just 8 bars the soprano voice plays the choral melody while the other play an accompaniment in a continuous ongoing motion.
