Georg Andreas Sorge, Jesus meine Zuversicht
Sorge’s prelude to “Jesus, meine Zuversicht” is another fine example of Sorge’s fine way of using a trio like texture to create a chorale prelude. The introduction is written for two voices and pedal. When the chorale melody enters the accompaniment is reduced to one voice and pedals. Sorge writes a brilliant, fast moving accompaniment for the chorale melody.
The recording was done on the sample set of the Van Dam organ (1832) in Tholen by Voxus Organs for Hauptwerk.
